What Fambero collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
Fambero is the controller for data about your Fambero account. Contact: [email protected].
For the fans of a creator's page, that creator is the controller and we are their processor. See the data processing terms.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address and name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with a link instead of a password, we store a single-use, hashed token that expires. We keep your country, timezone and language if you set them.
Your page
Whatever you publish: name, bio, links, images, theme. It is public by design — that is the point of it.
Visits to public pages
This is the part most services get wrong, so it is worth being precise.
We do not use cookies to count visitors, and we do not store IP addresses or user agents. When someone opens a Fambero page we compute a one-way hash of their address, their browser string, the page, and today's date, mixed with a secret we hold. The result is meaningless on its own, is different tomorrow, and is different on another creator's page.
It tells a creator how many people visited today and nothing else. It cannot be reversed into a person, used to follow anyone between pages, or used to recognise anyone the next day. That is also why Fambero pages carry no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Alongside it we keep the referring website's domain — not the full address, which can contain a search query — a country from our network provider, and a device category. Raw records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals remain.
Being a fan
If you become a fan of a page, the creator of that page can see your name and email address. This is stated at the moment you sign up, on the button itself. You can stop being a fan at any time.
Why we are allowed to
- Contract — running your account and your page
- Legitimate interests — keeping Fambero secure, preventing abuse, and counting visits in a way that identifies nobody
- Legal obligation — accounting and tax records
- Consent — where we ask for it, and you can withdraw it
Who else sees it
Our hosting and email providers, and our payment providers when you buy or sell something. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export, or delete your data. Two of these are buttons in your settings rather than a request you have to make: Download my data and Delete account.
Deleting your account takes your page down immediately. The records are removed permanently after a short grace period, which exists so a mistaken deletion can be undone.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first — and you may complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish data protection authority.
